We’ve always been fans of Pink Lining’s bags and I was really pleased when they asked me to have a test run with their new Vegan Leather ‘Shoreditch Rucksack’. It comes in black and grey – I opted for the grey version as I thought it looked a little different!

The bag is perfect for parents, who like me, prefer a more low-key look. It combines a wipe-clean sleek exterior with all the pockets and pouches Pink Lining’s so well loved for. It’s a practical little number that’s been designed with thought and care.

Quite uniquely, the bag comes with a choice of straps – either plain striped to create a monochrome look, or the fashion choice of brightly-coloured butterflies on a striped background. It’s pretty cool that you can you choose the look you want and it also means that when I’m rocking the baby bag, I can have a bit of say in the colours!

The bag comes fully equipped too which is a lovely touch. The fold-up changing mat is a luxury that we were is desperate need of (it’s a washable number too, not a wipe-clean which makes it way more comfortable for your little one. In a addition, the insulated bottle holders, key fob, pen holder and mobile phone holder add to the functionality and practicality of the bag making it a true parent bag. The separate pouch bag also gives you space to store creams and wipes separately so if like me you like travelling light (when you’re feeling adventurous) you can leave the main bag behind and go rouge with the little bag.

What I’ve always liked about Pink Lining is the attention to actual parenting usefulness. The bag comes with a couple of buggy clips – a novel, minimal touch, but a nod to all of those parents who have battled tirelessly with a slipping bag on a buggy.

This particular range is also vegan friendly. You wouldn’t be able to tell that the bag isn’t 100% leather. It is robust, hard wearing and most importantly ethical.
